4th Annual Great Taste of the Midwest Pre-Party
Friday, August 9th 2013
Brickhouse will once again be hosting our annual Great Taste Pre-Party and will feature beers from Central Waters and Shorts. The festivities are set to begin at 5pm and will continue on long into the night. You can expect to see several limited-release and reserve taps that will be available starting at different times throughout the evening.
Last year we poured Central Waters Exodus, Barrel-Aged Slainte, Fourteen Fourteen, and numerous vintages of other barrel-aged beers alongside of Central Waters’ complete lineup of beers. Here is this year’s tap list along with the scheduled releases for some of their most incredible and hard to find beers:
These special releases will be made available at the specified times on our mezzanine level located on the third floor of the restaurant. A line will form up the stairway starting 15 minutes prior to each beer’s release. These beers are available on a first-come first-served basis only and are limited to one serving per customer at a time (yes, you can get back in line to get more if you’d like). Please be advised that this line will be CASH ONLY!
7 PM: Fifteen
8PM: (A yet to be named, 1st showing!) Chili Pepper Stout
Shorts will also be back again this year and will again bringing a wide selection of their unique and inspiring creations. Here is the tap list from Shorts:
The Soft Parade
Dan’s Pink Skirt IPA
Cerveza De Julie
Strawberry Short’s Cake
Kiwi Destroy Mission
Beard of Zeus
A new, last minute, and exciting addition this year will be Hinterland Brewing! This brewery will be showcasing some of their flagship brands as well as some fun and unique beers. We’re happy to add them to the party!
Luna Stout (Nitro)
Pub Draught (Nitro)
Bourbon Barrel Doppelbock
Either: White Out or Pilsner
We hope to see many of you back again this year to celebrate
two three of the Midwest’s finest breweries!
Our annual pre-party also serves as an annual meeting location for The Beer Spot community! They’ve helped us bring in breweries and get the word out in the past for this event, and we’ll be welcoming them back again this year. If you haven’t checked out their site, take a moment to do so as it is full of great beer-related information.
